Through their love of Charleston and the outdoors, both Bryan and Timothy have a deep affinity for the natural history and beauty embodied in Charleston’s coastal environment.

Sandlapper Tours offers regularly scheduled guide narrated history and nature tours as well as the ever popular sunset cruise. The goal of Sandlapper Tours is to provide quality water tours. We are committed to providing outstanding customer service as well as entertaining, educational water tours.

Climb aboard the Palmetto, our 45-foot catamaran, versatile enough to handle the harbor’s waters smoothly. With a capacity of only 49 passengers, everyone will experience a personalized atmosphere.

Haunted Ghost Tour & Cruise of Charleston Harbor (90 minutes) - Explore haunted city sites that cannot be reached on foot! Feel the cool breeze of the Charleston Harbor as you hear bone-chilling tales all about the Hanging of Stede Bonnet, “The Gentleman Pirate”; soldiers and fishermen lost to the dark waves of the Harbor; ships that appear as a warning to seafarers; the Holy City’s long history of bloody wars and devastating storms. Charleston’s forts, houses, and ships are the centerpiece of many of the South’s most famous ghost stories, and now you can get closer than ever before to the fascinating horror of the Holy City’s ghastly past!

Sunset Cruise on the Charleston Harbor (2 hours) - Enjoy peaceful and breathtaking views of sunset-silhouetted steeples while cruising along the waterways of the Charleston Harbor. Unwind under the setting sun to a few good time tunes with the unique cityscape as your backdrop, as you enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and watch the harbor’s abundant dolphins and birds come out to play during “bluing hour.” View forts, private islands, and lighthouse. Get up-close views of the Battery, Ravenal Bridge. You can also enjoy beer and wine at our cash bar!

Guided Nature Tour & Cruise of Charleston
Harbor (2 hours) - Are you in search of Charleston’s tideland treasures? Then join our knowledgeable local naturalist on a peaceful cruise to discover coastal wildlife. Spend a refreshing afternoon in the salty breeze, as you catch a glimpse of frolicking dolphins as they roam the creeks and the harbor; troll the ocean floor, pull crab pots, and add to our touch tank on board; and maybe stroll down the beaches of Morris island, an uninhabited barrier island.

Guided History Tour & Cruise of Charleston Harbor (90 minutes) - Join us on a peaceful cruise along the Charleston Harbor as we bring Charleston’s rich and vivid past alive! This one-of-a-kind history tour spans the historical inception of Charleston and its harbor to present-day times and events. Each cruise is narrated by a knowledgeable, local historian.
